9 month milestone

These are some new learnings i love to flaunt over and again, and mind you i dont stop unless i get a word of admiration from my audience :)

- Clapping hands to show excitement and happiness
- I know how to wave good bye
- Picking finger foods and to feed myself
- Pulling electric chords, and drawers
- and nonstop babbling - " na..naa", "ma..maa", "da..daa"

My first diwali

We did puja at home,and then attended a small get-together party at my friend Arya's place. Coincidence is her paernts happens to be my parents' friends :) Here's wishing belated happy diwali to all !!

7 month milestone

Buzurgo ne farmaya ke apne pairon pe khade hoke dikhlao, ... tho lo bhaiya hum apane pairo pe khade ho gaye..... aur milali hai taal....!! Yes, at the age of 7 months my significant achievement is i started pulling up, and i can walk by holding furniture. I could always feel that my parents specially mom had tought time carrying me around - so i thought why not give them break and start learning it early and here i'm. But now they are all the more scared of me, considering the moment i started walking with support, i'm on destruction spree - my house undergoes changes every few days depending on where i'm able to reach and what i'm able to hold.

Hurray Dad's here!!!!!

HMMMM.... finally my dad is here with his first post on my blog. After a lot of persuation from my mom he agreed, I mean succumbed to my mom's pressure, and wrote this post.

Well he is not sure what to write in his post as my mom has left nothing for him to update about me. One thing that my dad can write here is how crazy I have become for my mom. Its difficult for me to stay without my mom for more than 15 mins when I am awake. My dad is trying his best to get my attention, but some how I feel that for him comfort in life is more important than looking after me. I will give him some time and see whether he can win my confidence :)

His highness & his hobbies !!

My hobbies include, but not limited to:

*** Pulling my mom's hair

*** Scratching my mommy's face

*** Alice in wonderland - and Ansh likes to be in wireland - I go crazy for all the string\wire like things - my crawling speed increases and i grab it with electric speed and put it in my mouth. Now my parents think wireless is the way to go, all the techies and geeks please take this challenge and make everything wireless :)

*** Babbling louldy when i look at other kids, and running after my friend Arya

*** Jumping in my rainforest jumperoo

*** Practising for crawling competition in olympics - i'm working on increasing my speed and am aiming for no less than gold medal

*** Giving smile to all the strangers in the mall and grocery stores (so that i can receive compliments like adorable, cute etc.!!)

Sleep Training is ON !!!

May be my parents are following same logic, and wants me to be independent and learn to sleep on my own. They are religiously following what my PED suggested - a bedtime routine consisting of bath, feed, rock and sing, but i'm trying best to fail their efforts. Its already been 1 week and struggle is still ON...good luck mom & dad !!

Scooting.........!!

Yes restless and hyperactive me couldnt wait for longer, and have started scooting. So now my house is on high alert, somebody is always running behind me, well i do enjoy all this attention.

Also, i just loveeeeeeeeeeee 2 talk nowadays, but when i look at my parent's expressions - i dont think they get it, may be this is called "Generation gap". They don't get me, and i don't get them :)

Mom & Dad are too lazy to extract camcorder recordings, so for now enjoy this low resolution camera recording !!

They gave me 4 injections, two on each leg and another vaccine drop by mouth :( Awww...don't feel bad, i'm a strong guy, got over it in 2 minutes !!

4 month milestone

It's been quite sometime i made entry in the blog, reason being we (my family - myself and my parents) are getting adjusted to life without any support line. My grandparents have left for india on 15th july and now we are on our own. How i wish they were here, its only me and mom for most of the day...and honestly i get bored ;)

I hit 4 months milestone on 12th and here's my achievement list so far:
Able to roll over and play on my tummy
Have started eating rice cereal - my first solid food
Able to sit without support for few seconds
And now i get real tears...now its much easier to blackmail mom :)

Buri nazarwale..tera ho bhala !!

My nanaji thinks by posting my videos and pictures on this blog my parents are making me more vulnerable to the evil eye. I do wear kala tika which is believed to mar my beauty and make me unappealing to the evil eye (grrrr...!!), but it might not be visible on blog. May be black background on the blog site can do the needful ;)

As such my parents are rational, but when it comes to me they are extra careful, hence to be on safer side adding kala tika here on the blog:

Partial palti 2 proper palti

Today nobody had to push me for it, nobody had to turn me sideways...I did it on my own..yes, my first proper palti. I hope now mom & dad won't call me lazy, i've done something on my own :)

For video, they'll still have to wait...i'm yet to receive signing amount for starring in their Palti sequel. Get the hint, buy me a new toy !!

Sleepless in Seattle, Always awake in Atlanta...

Both my parents can sleep for hours, infact they claim thats the ONLY hobby they share. Inspite of what science suggests, its not in the genes. Now that my parents have decided to establish healthy sleep habits for me, daily we have a tug of war and i emerge as a winner :) They have tried all the alternatives...swaddle, dark room, quite environment, white noise etc. to name few...and i make sure i fail all their techniques !! May be i'm not up for american style upbringing, may be i'm too young for establishing a routine.

Mom & Dad, here's wishing you good luck in future trials. Signing off with the hope that someday i will develop healthy sleep habits and become a happy & healthy child !!

Poll is finally closed...and its an upset !! Dad was leading by a great margin, but in the end mom is the winner of the poll. I and dad are smelling some last moment manipulations and change in votes by my mom. You see she is a project manager in Infosys, so she gotta know all the tricks in politics :)

If we count votes on my blog then mom is the winner, and due to some technical difficults some uncles and aunties (though they would still like to be called bhaiya and didi)...were unable to vote and they sent their choice by mail. If we count offline votes then its a tie. Thank you all for your participation. Results are not convincing as difference is only 1 vote, which makes me believe i need to wait for some more time....till that time my mom & dad can keep fighting on this matter !!

Tummy time

Though some kids of my age starts enjoying their tummy time from the very first day, somehow I was not in love with this recreational activity. Reason being I couldn't tolerate so much pressure on my tummy :) But based on my ped's recommendation my parents started giving me around 5-10 mins of tummy time daily, in hope that this tummy time will make my stomach muscles strong and also help me in controlling my neck movements. As a result, now at the age of 3 months i'm able to lift my head up and stay on my tummy for longer duration. I hate to admit but I have started enjoying my tummy time !!

11th June -First party of my life. Yes, you are right it was none other than Infosys project party and its not difficult to guess why this party was my first party :). Though I could have attended this party alone [I'm a big guy :)], my parents accompanied me to the party.

Mom thinks that this is just start of my flourishing party life and I will be a party animal in my teens. [hopefully those parties will be much more lively and entertaining than infosys party where infoscions gather to eat free food and crib about infosys :)]. Dad is not happy with this but Mom I promise you, I won't let your thoughts down :)

In the party Lots of food [nothing for me though :(], lots of ppl and 3 cute kids who sang twinkle twinkle little star for me when they realized my father doesnt know any lullaby and I was sleepy.

Though my parents also enjoy cribbing abt infosys often, we as a family are thankful to infosys because this is where my parents fell in love, and created a lifelong bond.

Life Takes Visa !!

North georgia premium outlets - Ansh was on shopping spree with mom for 6 hours including an hour drive to and from. Mom & Dad are no longer interested in shopping because they still think one day they'll go to gym and shed those extra pounds and then purchase new clothes which will fit them then. Advantage Ansh. Stores where we spent most of our money were children's place, gymboree and baby gap. Everytime we go shopping, we think this time we will not buy anything for ansh, specially no clothes because he hardly wears them once or twice and then he outgrows that size....but we end up buying clothes or toys for him. Spoiled brat in the making !!!

Oh yes - funny thing- during shopping most of the time Ansh kept counting dollars (he has developed a new habit, he stares at his hands and does something with his fingers - action is very much similar to some baniya counting money) Mommy baniya hai and papa kanjoos hai toh dono milake Ansh ka yeh haal ho gaya ..hehe !! :)

Hamara raj dulara (filmy huh?)...urf Ansh is now 3 months old, and i guess worst time is over....less crying, less fussing...which will allow me to write if not daily regularly to update this blog site with Ansh's pics and videos and his learnings and progress otherwise. Had this idea since beginning but now able to work on it...cheers for the first step !!

Ansh - bada hoke yaad rakhna yeh idea mom ka tha and mom ne hi blog banaya hai. Dad se ek-do posting toh main zabardasti karwa hi doongi :)
